Jashodaben Narendrabhai Modi Biography 
Jashodaben Narendrabhai Modi also called Jashodaben is a retired school teacher from Gujarat. She is the estranged wife of India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. It was only in 2014 he acknowledged his wife for the first time when he filed his nomination for the 2014 general elections. Till then he declared himself to be single. Jashodaben turned a celebrity overnight, and news was received by mixed reviews from citizens and media, for not protecting his aged wife. She lives with her brothers, on a monthly pension of 14,000 rupees and doesn’t keep any ties with her husband for many years. Though estranged for many decades, Jashodaben is officially the wife of India’s PM.
Jashodaben Narendrabhai Modi was born in 1952 in Brahmanwada, Bombay State. Jashodaben Chimanlal is her maiden name. She lost her mother at the age of 2 and father at the age of 15. As per family traditions she had a child marriage with Narendra Modi at the age of 11. Modi was then 13. She went to Narendra Modi’s home for the first time at the age of 17, and Modi asked her to complete studies. In the three years of their married life, they lived hardly three months together and reportedly, their marriage was never consummated. Modi had already expressed his desire to travel across the country as a 'pracharak' in Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. In fact he kept this chapter of his life a secret till 2014.
Though Jashodaben visit Modi’s home multiple times, she had to return back with dismay. Later she completed matriculation and teacher’s training course and started her professional career as a school teacher. She stayed with her brothers throughout her life. Yet she has been interested in reading news about Narendra Modi and has always remained as his well-wisher.
