Harish Dhandev Biography 
Harish Dhandev is an engineer who left his job and became millionaire just by farming aloe vera plants in Rajasthan. The story of this agriculturist is truly inspiring to everyone who wants to do farming. Harish left his government job to become a full-time agriculturist and now he is a millionaire. Harish’s turnover now ranges between Rs 1.5 crore to Rs 2 crore per annum. He also established his own company, ‘Naturelo Agro’ at Dhaisar, 45 kilometres from Jaisalmer. The quality of aloe vera grown in the desert is so good that they are high in demand.
Harish Dhandev was a government worker in Rajasthan, who had a routine life as everyone. He was not much happy about his secure job. He had an engineering degree in hand and he worked as a junior engineer with Jaisalmer Municipal Council. He once visited an agri-expo in Delhi which proved to be the turning point in his life. He owned 120 acres of farmland. He quit his job and started cultivating aloe vera and other crops. Very soon the farming gave him great returns.
When most farmers in Rajasthan grow bazra, wheat and moong (different types of cereals and lentils used as food), he chose a different crop. He grew ‘babie densis’, a variety of aloe vera which has a high demand in Brazil, Hong Kong and US. He initially planted around 80,000 saplings. Arid climate and sandy soil of the deserts of Rajasthan were best suited for his crop. Later he started his own company as well. Now he supplies aloe vera as raw material for Patanjali for making aloe vera juice and gel.
