Sucheta Dalal Biography 
Sucheta Dalal is a journalist and writer and the Managing Editor of Moneylife - a foundation into advocacy, financial literacy and right protection. An award-winning business journalist and author, she was conferred the prestigious Padma Shri for journalism in 2006. She has completed 25 years in the field of journalism. With a pond of knowledge with a lot of experience she is one of the senior personalities in the field of journalism. She has authored the books - The Scam: Who Won, who Lost, who Got Away (1993) and A. D. Shroff: Titan of Finance and Free Enterprise (2000).
She was born in 1962 and started her journalist career in 1984 with Fortune India an investment magazine. As a journalist she has worked with many leading business magazines during her early days - Business Standard and The Economic Times. She also served as Financial Editor of The Times of India, followed by columnist and consulting editor for The Indian Express Group until 2008. Currently she serves as Consulting Editor for MoneyLIFE. She is married to the writer Debashis Basu and they together published the book - The Scam: Who Won, Who lost, Who got away (1993), a bestseller of the year. The book has been revised and published twice later.
As a columnist and journalist she has always got noticed for works related to corruptions and investigations. The securities scam in 1992 was one such. A noted author, apart from The Scam: Who Won, Who lost, Who got away, she has also authored the biography work of A.D. Shroff, Pathbreakers and a few more works. She is also a member of several committees as an advisory member and she is also busy as a columnist right now.
