Dnyanesh Maharao Biography 
Dnyanesh Maharao is a noted journalist and writer of Marathi language. Currently he is the editor of renowned Marathi Weekly Magazine Chitralekha. He has been active in the field of journalism since 1989. He has published about 25 books belonging to Marathi and English languages. Jinku ya Dahi Disha & Sangeet Ghanlin Lotangan are his noted Marathi plays. He has served as the Assistant Editor of Marathi Weekly Magazine Vivek during the period 1985 to 1989. Dinmitra Mukundrao Patil Patrakarita Puraskar – 2013, Vidyadhar Gokhale Lalitlekhan Puraskar – 2012, Aatre Pratishthan Award for Journalism – 2012, Chintamanrao Deshmukh Journalism Award – 2011 and Nanasaheb Vairale Smruti Puraskar are the recent awards received by him.
Dnyanesh Ramkrishna Maharao was born on 11 June 1960 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. After college studies, he took journalism as his career. He is in active journalism since 1 June 1989. He has worked with many weeklies and magazines in the career spanning to about 25 years. He served as the Assistant Editor of Marathi Weekly Magazine Vivek for 4 years since 1985. He has recreated Sangeet Saubhadra under the banner of Om Natyagandha Mumbai as a tribute to Annasaheb Kirloskar and Bal Gandharva. He presented it on the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Bal Gandharva and 130th anniversary of Sangeet Saubhadra.
Dharile Pandhariche Chor, Lokshahichi Chinta aani Chintan, Bahujananche Dev aani Tyanche Dushman, Garje Shivarayanchi Talwar, Prabondhankaranche Jwalant Hindutva, Ujalavi Dnyanachi Diwali, Dev Dharma Sanskriti Bhaktichya Navane Pa. Punchya Leela and Samajik aani Rajakiya Badalansathi Lokshakti are a few of his published Marathi books. . "Thackeray: life & style" is a noted book authored by Maharao in English language.
