Anuya Biography 
Anuya Bhagvath is an Indian model and film actress who is concentrating in Tamil film industry. She was born on 6th September 1984 in Dubai in United Arab Emirates. She entered film industry in 2007 through the Hindi film Mahek and has performed many cameo roles.
She completed B.E. in electrical engineering from Pune Vidhyarthi Griha’s College of Engineering and Technology and did her post graduation in acting from Film and Television Institute of India at Pune. She was a gold medalist in her studies. However, she is much interested in acting and says that it satisfies her soul. She is also serving as the director of the Iris Event Works Pvt Ltd which is set up with the vision of organizing events related to gold and diamond jewelry.
Apart from performing in lead roles and cameo roles in some films, she has also done few telefilms for Doordharsan such as Aur Ek Kahani. She has participated in the dance stage shows in Tamil Nadu award functions. In the teleseries of Doordharsan named Gora she has played the role of Lolita. She has been the model for the advertisements of star plus, neo sports, Z cinestars ki khoj and Kofi with Karan. She escaped narrowly from a terrorist attack at a hotel in Mumbai in 2009.
Mahek is a children’s film directed by Kranti Kanade and she got a chance to perform in it as soon as she completed her graduation from the FTII. The film was screened at the London Film Festival and got many positive reviews. It was nominated for many awards including the Best Picture award at the WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival.
The film that gave her a break was Siva Manasula Sakthi. This film received critical acclaim and was nominated for Vijay Award for Best Debut Actress and got her a chance to work in the film Madurai Sambavam. She is very interested in dancing and took a break from the film industry to concentrate in dancing. She then got a chance to perform in Nagaram with Sundar C. She also did cameo role in the film Nanban by S. Shankar.
