Jiiva Biography

Jeeva is an Indian film actor, producer and a director who concentrates in Tamil film industry. Being the son of the popular film producer R. B. Choudry, he got chances to act in the films of his father when he was a child. He first appeared in the film as a child artist when he was 12 years old in 1996 in the film Suryavamsam and his first lead role was through the film Aasai Asaiyai in 2003.

 

Jeeva also spelled as Jiiva was born on 4th January 1984 in Chennai in Tamil Nadu. His birth name is Amar B. Choudry and his mother tongue is Hindi. His father’s name is R.B. Choudary and his mother’s name is Mahjabeen. Though he was born and brought up in Chennai, his native is Rajasthan. He completed his schooling from Adarsh School at T. Nagar and pursued his Multimedia Graphics Course.

 

He has three elder brothers namely B. Suresh, Jeevan and Jithan Ramesh. The first one and the third one are also in the film industry and the second brother Jeeven is pursuing his steel business as an entrepreneur. Jeeva married his childhood friend Supriya who studied with him in school on 21st November 2007 and has a son named Sparsha born on 14th October 2010.

 

Jeeva entered film industry in the lead role in the year 2003 and then performed in some of the films produced by his father. However his initial attempts ended up as commercial failures. Then he got some chances to perform in others’ films and the film by Ameer, Raam in which he performed the role of an autistic teenager gave him some an exposure and positive remarks.

 

Though he continued to act in films, he got a breakthrough in 2009 through the film Siva Manasula Sakthi. He got many opportunities after that and he came to be called Ezhuchi Thalapathy by his fans after the success of his film Ko. His role in the comedy film Nanban was a huge success and won him good name and many more opportunities.

 

Some of his films are Aasai Aasaiyai, Dishyum, Keerthi Chakra, Pori, Kattrathu Thamizh, Rameshwaram, Thenavattu, E, Pori, Raam, Thithikudhe, Siva Manasula Sakthi, Kacheri Aarambam, Boss Engira Baskaran, Singam Puli, Rowthiram, Vandhaan Vendraan, Kazhugu, Mugamoodi, Nanban, etc.

 

He has learnt Kung Fu for three years and got training in gymnastics for few months for one of his films. In the reality show in STAR Vijay, Jodi Number One he worked as a judge and in 2011 he started a film production company named Spiral Dreams along with his brother Jithan Ramesh. He organizes medical camps as a part of his philanthropic activities.
