Akshara Gowda Biography

Akshara Gowda is an Indian film actress and model from Bangalore. She has appeared both in south Indian movies as well as Bollywood. In 2013, she made her Bollywood debut through Priyadarshan’s Rangrezz, remake of Tamil film Naadodigal. In this movie she played the supporting role of Jasmine. She has appeared in two Tamil movies and one festival film ‘Chitkabrey - The Shades of Grey’. She played the supporting role of Deeksha Rane in Ajith starrer Tamil action thriller, Arrambam. Before that she has done a special appearance in Vijay starrer Thuppakki in 2012.

She has been linked up with Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh at the time when she signed her debut Bollywood flick in 2011. But both denied the rumour stating that they are mere friends and came to know each other through common friends. She also told media that she would prefer for an arranged marriage. Earlier too, Yuvraj has been linked up with Bollywood beauties like Preity Zinta, Ameesha Patel and Deepika Padukone.

Gowda was born in Bangalore in 1989 to a businessman JPS Gowda. Her sister is 10 years younger to her. She is so much close to her father. She schooled at The New Cambridge High School, Bangalore. She later completed Engineering from SKIT College, Bangalore. Since school days she was interested in sports and played Throw Ball at the state level. She also loved Table tennis. She started modelling while studying at engineering college. For her, acting is only a fun and she has never even thought of becoming an actress. She also doesn’t notice any difference between south films and Bollywood films.
