Amisha Patel Biography 
Amisha Patel is an Indian actress that appeared mainly in the Hindi film industry. Her debut film Kaho Naa.. Pyaar Hai in the year 2000 was a blockbuster. She won the applause for her film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. This film is one of the biggest hits in the Hindi film industry and this earned her the Filmfare Special Performance Award. She acted in many other films and many of them were not successful at the commercial level.
She was born on 9th June 1975 in Mumbai in Maharashtra. Her parents are Amit Patel and Asha Patel. She has one brother, Ashmit Patel. She is a trained Bharatnayam dancer from her age of five. She finished her schooling at the Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai and was the head girl of the school in the academic year 1992-93. Then she headed off to Tufts University in Medford in Massachusetts to study Economics.
After her graduation she started her career as an economic analyst at Khandwala Securities Limited. She joined Satyadev Dubey’s theatre after returning back to India and acted in plays. She had to get the permission of her conservative parents to act in films. Some of the films that she acted are Badri, Yeh Zindagi Ka Safar, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, Kranti, Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai, Yeh Hai Jalwa, Puthiya Geethai, Humraaz, Parwana, Naani, Vaada, Elaan, Zameer: The Fire Within, Narasimhudu, Mangal Pandey: The Rising, Om Shanti Om, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, etc.
She was dating with Vikram Bhatt from their first movie together, Aap Mujhe Achcha Lagne Lage in 2002. Later there was a rift between their families. Her parents used all her money for their personal use and this caused great misunderstandings in the family. She demanded back the money. In 2008, the five year relationship broke. Later she is seen with the businessman Kanav Puri. After few years of estrangement with her parents, they were reconciled in 2009. She broke off the relationship with her boyfriend Kanav Puri in September 2010.
