Siddhanth Kapoor Biography

Siddhanth Kapoor is an upcoming Bollywood actor, better known as the son of noted actor Shakti Kapoor. Actress Shraddha Kapoor of Aashique 2 fame is his younger sister. He made his film debut in 2013 through the action movie, Shootout at Wadala where he played the supporting role of Gyancho. Ugly is his upcoming movie and it is directed by Anurag Kashyap. Before making his acting debut Kapoor has worked as an assistant director under many leading Bollywood film makers like Anurag Kashyap, Priyadarshan and Sanjay Gupta. He worked as an assistant of Sanjay Gupta while acting in his movie, Shootout at Wadala. He is a former disc jockey and will now be seen in Bejoy Nambiar's next.


Siddhanth Kapoor was born in Mumbai in 1984. He was born to Bollywood villain Shakti Kapoor and his wife, Shivangi Kapoor. He is the nephew of noted actress Padmini Kolhapure. Shivangi Kapoor is Padmini’s elder sister. He worked as a disc jockey before joining film industry as an assistant director. He has assisted Priyadarshan for the movies, ‘Bhool Bhulaiya’, ‘Bhagam Bhag’, ‘Chup Chup Ke’ and ‘Dhol’. While making his film debut through Shootout at Wadia, he assisted the director as well. Kapoor left an impression with a good performance also. His sister too got a magic break to Bollywood the same year with Aashique, though she has appeared in a few movies earlier. Thus the same year, both the siblings got recognized in Bollywood.


He was to debut with ‘Satte Pe Satta’, remake of Amitabh Bachchan flick. But the movie got shelved. He holds Bachelors in Business degree and Music, food and travelling are his real passions. He also studied in Lee Strasberg and the New York Film Academy.
