Krishnakumar Ramakumar, also known as Five Star Krishna is a Tamil film actor who appears in supporting roles. Five Star (2002) produced by Mani Ratnam marked his successful debut and the movie tag got added to him name as well. He is known for the pivotal roles played in Arinthum Ariyamalum directed by Vishnuvardhan and Saravana by K. S. Ravikumar. He earlier worked as assistant director of many Tamil movies, before making his debut as an actor. He also owns an advertising agency. Yet he balances his filmy career with his profession.

Krishnakumar Ramakumar was born in Chennai. He worked under Rajiv Menon as an assistant director, which was his film experience. His real dream was to become a director. In 2002, he signed Five Star, directed by Susi Ganesan. The movie was produced by Mani Ratnam and he played supporting role next to Prasanna, Kanika and Sandhya. The movie focuses on five friends at the Madras Institute of Technology, who want to remain close and work at same company after studies. Portraying a runaway husband, his performance was well appreciated by critics and got opinions that he is a promising newcomer. He portrayed memorable supporting roles in Cheran's Autograph, Mani Ratnam's Aaytha Ezhuthu and Thiruda Thirudi. He is known for his successful association with film director Vishnuvardhan who casted him in four consecutive projects.

His recent release is commercial hit, Aaha kalyanam, the remake of Hindi flick – Baand Baja Barat. He appeared in the role of an inspector in this movie. His other released movies are Seval, Sarvam, Vaadaa, Arrambam, Moodar Koodam, Aaranya Kaandam, Yuvan Yuvathi, Aadhi, Pattiyal, Naan Avan Illai 2 and Jayamkondaan.
