Vijay Goel (lawyer) Biography

Vijay Goel is a corporate lawyer, attorney and senior partner based on UK. He is the senior partner for the London office of Singhania & Co. He has expertise in advising clients on matters relating to corporate law, joint ventures, foreign investments and collaborations etc. He was the Leader of the Trade Delegation Team accompanying UK Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg's first ever visit to India in 2015. He has expertise in real estate transactions also. He serves as the Ambassador of Barnardo's, UK's largest and oldest national children's charity. Vijay was conferred Asian Voice Asian Achievers Award for 'Professional of the Year' by Britain's minister of state for Justice Lord Tom McNally in 2009.

 

Vijay Goel was born on September 29, 1974 in Bareilly of Uttar Pradesh. G N Goel and Usha Goel are his parents. His father was a businessman, and as an intelligent kid, he used to look after his father's business in Tikunia Kheri. He schooled from the same village, and later moved to Lucknow for higher education. He completed B com, MBA and LLB from Lucknow before he moved to Delhi in 1998 to pursue a career. He joined Singhania & Co while at Delhi. Later he moved to UK where he is now settled with his wife.

 

He is a recipient of numerous honours in India and abroad. Founder of the 'Indo-European Business Forum', he has been awarded with the 'National Law Day Award for his exemplary contributions in commercial law and in strengthening Indo-UK business relations. He received the award from then president of India Pratibha Patil. Goel currently serves as the general secretary of the UK Chapter of International Council of Jurists.
