Nakul is a Tamil film actor and playback singer, most known for the 2003 super hit – Boys. He sang one of its Rahman tracks too. He, along with the group of 5 young actors debut silver screen with this youth-oriented movie. Genelia D'Souza too debut Tamil silver screen with this movie. Naan Rajavaga Pogiren (2013) and Vallinam (2014) released most recently earned him critical acclaim. Kadhalil Vizhunthen, released in 2008 was the breakthrough movie of his career in which he played male protagonist for the first time. As a playback singer, he gained early success through Harris Jayaraj compositions. "Kadhal Yanai" of Aniyan, "Oru Maalai" of Gajani and "Karka Karka" and "Manjal Veyil" of Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu are among those notable songs.

His full name is Nakulan Jaidev and he belongs to Mumbai. He is the younger brother of success Tamil actress of 1990’s - Devayani. He debut silver screen at the age of 18 with Shankar’s Boys. He played supporting role in this movie. He made his Telugu debut with Keelu Gurram in a supporting role. But the movie was a box office failure. But he gained success as a playback singer, though was not noticed as an actor. 2008 movie, Kadhalil Vizhunthen was his career breakthrough in which he played the lead role a psychotic lover. He prepared a lot for this movie and reduced a few pounds to fit into the role. It proved successful too and the movie was a box office hit. Sunaina played lead role.

Success of Kadhalil Vizhunthen offered him another movie, Maasilamani the following year and once again he was paired opposite Sunaina. The movie too was a box office hit. Kandhakottai with Poorna was his next release, and this movie too was a box office hit. But he didn’t act in any movie for the next four years and Naan Rajavaga Pogiren was released in 2013, for which he received positive response. Narathan and Amali Thumali are his upcoming movies.
