Gulshan Devaiah Biography

Gulshan Devaiah is a Bollywood actor known for supporting roles. His most noted works include - Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, Shaitan, That Girl in Yellow Boots, Hate story, Dum maro dum and Peddlers. He has been a regular component of Anurag Basu movies. Hunterrrr, directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni is his upcoming movie. His full name is Kambeyanda Devaiah Gulshan.

Gulshan was born and brought up in Bangalore. He was born on May 28, 1978 as single son to Devaiah and Pushpalatha, both retired from Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL), Bangalore. Gulshan’s parents are interested in arts, drama and music and have been associated with many cultural programs while at BEL. So they recognized and encouraged Gulshan’s inclination towards these artistic activities. His primary education was completed at Cluny Convent, Bangalore followed by High school at St Joseph’s Indian High School, Bangalore, and PU at BEL Pre-University College. He took Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design in 2000 from National Institute of Fashion Technology, Bangalore. Gulshan has 10 year experience in Indian fashion industry where he has handled various roles. He also worked as a teacher at Wigan and Leigh College, Bangalore.

Gulshan has been active in Bangalore's English theater circuit since primary school. Later he moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in acting. Harami Theater's "Butter and Mashed Banana" is his most noted work as a theatre artist. "Shaitan", directed by Bejoy Nambiar was his first Bollywood release. He played the role of the eccentric Karan "KC" Chaudhary in this movie. He played the role of a smooth talking drug peddler 'Ricky' in "Dum Maro Dum”. He played the supporting role of Bhavani in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s latest release, Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela.
