Vivek Vaswani Biography

Vivek Vaswani is a Bollywood actor, writer and producer. He is also associated with a few television works. He appears in character and supporting roles produced by him. Vivek Vaswani's earlier films as a producer include Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla starrer 'Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman', which was one among the four debut movies of King Khan in the year 1992. Vivek was one of the earliest celebrities of Bollywood who supported Shah Rukh during his early days in Bollywood. He played the memorable character role of Lovechand Kukreja in this movie. 'Sar Ankhon Par' and ‘Pathar ke phool’ are also his early hits as a film producer.

He has portrayed memorable character roles in Bollywood, from comic roles to serious ones. Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai, Soldier, Fida, Barsaat, Aa Ab Laut Chalen, King Uncle, Tera Jadoo Chal Gayaa, Josh, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, Aashiq awara, Ishq Vishq, Hum Kisise Kum Nahin, My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves and Dulha Mil Gaya are among his noted movies where he played supporting roles.

He is a Mumbai boy, born and brought up in Mumbai. He schooled from Campion School. Pathar ke Phool starring Salman Khan and Raveena Tandon was his first movie as a film actor. He played a bit role in this movie, better known as the debut movie of actress Raveena. The movie proved to be a box office hit with some lovely songs. Later on, he wrote scripts along with film making. Marathi film titled 'Kis bai Kiss' was his first movie as a producer.

When Shah Rukh Khan, a serial actor then, came to Mumbai to become an actor, he stayed with Vivek Vaswani. Vivek supported him during his early days and also produced the movie, Raju Ban Gaya gentleman. Juhi Chawla was already a star then. Yet she agreed to play lead role opposite a newcomer and the movie was a huge hit. He also helped SRK meet directors and producers.
