Subhasree Ganguly Biography

Subhasree Ganguly is a successful actress of Bengali cinema, who appears in lead roles. She owns many hits aside super star Dev and both are engaged at present. They have planned to get married in 2015. Their association started with the movie, Challenge in 2008 and Poran Jaye Jolia Re (2009), Romeo (2011), Khokababu (2012) and Khoka 420 (2012) are other big hits of this smashing pair. In fact, Khokababu is the second highest grosser of Bengali cinema. Though the movie created a new record of biggest box office hit in the year 2012, the record was broken the same year by another Dev movie – Challenge 2. Though the leading pair denied the relationship at first, later they both accepted in public.

Subhashree Ganguly was born on 3 November, 1990 in Bardhaman. Oriya movie - Mate Ta Love Helare in 2007 marked her big screen debut. The movie was directed by Ashok Pati, where she worked aside Siddhanta Mahapatra, Anuvab Mohanty and Mihir Das. Same year she debut Bengali film industry in a bit role with the movie, Pitribhoomi directed by Prabhat Roy. The movie, Bajimaat released in 2008 is credited as the Bengali debut of Ganguly, for which she received Anandolok Puraskar for Best female debut. In 2009, she was paired for the first time with Dev, and the movie went on to become a huge hit. For its outstanding performance, Subhashree received Tele Cine awards 2010 for Best actress in a leading role.  

Then she appeared in a string of Bengali movies – Boss, Poran Jaye Jolia Re, Game, Khokababu, Khoka 420, Megh Roddur etc. She delivered two consecutive hits – Khoka 420 and Boss with two superstars of Bengali industry, Dev and Jeet respectively. Now she is looking for Bollywood projects. She received Kalakar Awards for Best Actress for her performance in Khoka 420.
