Sikandar Kharbanda Biography

Sikandar Kharbanda is a popular television actor and film actor. He works most in Bhojpuri films and has also done a few Bollywood movies. As a Bollywood actor, his most noted work is Style which became a box office hit in 2002. His most popular television role is Kasautii Zindagii Kay where he played the role of Indraneel Sengupta / Joker. He married his co-star from the same daily soap - Geetanjali Tikekar. They dated for two years before they got married. His uncle is actor, Shakti Kapoor. Thus actress Shraddha Kapoor is his cousin. He has also worked in Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon as Sikandar Bhatia, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii as Yash Garg, Kaahin Kissii Roz as Vikram and Phulwa as Kulbhushan. He has also acted in television serials like Hindi Hain Hum, Do Hanso Ka Joda and Phir Subah Hogi.

Sikandar was born in January 30, 1979 in Delhi. He took Bachelor of Arts degree from Venkateshwara College, Delhi. He debut silver screen as hero with the movie ‘Bad Boys’. But the movie failed at box office. But his second movie, Style was a surprise hit. He played supporting role in this movie. Later he appeared in supporting roles of Bollywood movies like Taarzan: The Wonder Car, Aur Pappu pass ho gaya, Aatma, Jigyaasa and Meri life mein uski wife. His television entry happened with popular TV soap Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki where he played the role of Yash Garg - a rich spoilt brat. Later he got settled in television.

He played the role of Lucky Kapoor in Do Hans ka Joda in 2012. Sikander has also worked in about 20 Bhojpuri films. A few of them include – Ram balraam, Pandit Ji Batain Na Biyah Kab Hoyee, Badka Sahab, Aapan mati aapan desh and Jogi jee dheere dheere. He has also won a few awards for his Bhojpuri films.
