Sija Rose Biography

Sija Rose is a south Indian film actress who predominantly works in Malayalam and Tamil movies in supporting roles. She played supporting role of Lily, a nun– the love interest of Sunny Wayne in the first box office hit of Malayalam 2013, Annayum Rasoolum. Ustad Hotel, Nee Ko Njaa Cha, Entry and Kaanchi are other noted appearances. She has also done a few Tamil movies - Madhavanum Malarvizhiyum, Masani and Kozhi Koovuthu. She made her acting debut in Tamil movie, playing lead role for the movie, Kozhi Koovuthu released in 2012, where she was casted opposite Ashok.

Born in Kerala in 1994, she was brought up in Muscat, Oman where she did her schooling. Her father is a journalist and Rose too decided to join the same stream. So, for graduation she reached Mumbai. After graduation, while she was on a holiday trip to Kerala, by chance she got a modelling assignment. Thus began her career as a model and she appeared in a few TV commercials as well, which later offered her film roles. But her onscreen debut happened through a Kannada movie, Magadi in 2012. It was followed by her Malayalam debut with the critically acclaimed National award winning movie, Ustad hotel released the same year. She played the lovable sister of lead actor Ustad Hotel. Though her role was brief, it was noticed. Same year her debut Tamil movie was also released. She played lead role of a village girl in Kozhi Koovuthu.

Ninneyum Kollum Njaanum Chaavum and Bhadrasanam are her upcoming Malayalam flicks. In between she also worked as an assistant director of Hindi remake of Malayalam hit – Traffic. She has hosted ‘Let's Dance’ on Amrita TV in 2014.
