Shradha Sharma (executive) Biography

Shradha Sharma is an Executive and entrepreneur from Patna, Bihar. She is also a media personality who has been formerly associated with television and journalism. She is the founder, CEO and chief editor of YourStory, a media technology platform for entrepreneurs. Prior to YourStory, she has been associated with television, as an assistant vice president at CNBC TV18 and also a brand adviser at The Times of India. Currently she is one of the biggest storytellers of India's digital space. Her YourStory, the media technology platform has received investments from some of the biggest venture capitalists of the country.

Shradha Sharma hails from Patna, Bihar. She was born on 6 July 1980. She completed her graduation and post-graduation from St. Stephen's College, Delhi and she specialized in History. She later took MBA from MICA, Ahmedabad. Initially she worked in journalism and television field before she turned a successful entrepreneur. She served as one of the youngest Assistant Vice Presidents at CNBC TV18 and also a Brand Adviser at Times of India. This experience earned her strong knowledge in media field and later she started advising start-ups on marketing and communication strategies.

Shradha Sharma founded YourStory Media Pvt. Ltd. in 2008 and serves as its Chief Editor. She covered, advised and assisted over 2000 startups in a short span of one and a half years, and very soon turned a successful young entrepreneur of the country within the corporate sector. In 2010, she won the NASSCOM Ecosystem Evangelist Award for her efforts in building an inclusive startup community, and also Villgro Journalist of the Year Award. Currently she is based in Bangalore, Karnataka.
