Shefali Zariwala is a very successful leading lady of Indian pop music videos. She is better known for her appearance in videos of remixes of Kaanta laga, Sajna hai mujhe and Kabhi aar kabhi paar. Though she tried to find luck in Bollywood she could appear in only ‘Mujhse shaadi karoge’ during her glowing time. She has done numerous albums during 2000’s and gave new definitions to Indian remixes as well as videos. She was noticed for her sexy and charming looks and was the no.1 item girl during the first half of 2000’s. Yet her appearance in provoking dress for music videos have always invited criticism, even from none other than Lata Mangeshkar, who sang the original version of Kaanta lagaa.

Shefali was born on November 24, 1982. She started working in music videos while studying at college. She was an IT student then. She completed B Tech in Information technology from Sardar Patel College of Engineering in 2005. Through a series of music videos in 2003-2004, she became the number one item girl of music world. Her charming looks attributed a lot for the success of those videos as well. Later she appeared in more than 10 music videos and all became successful as well. She is famous for displaying a thong in her video album "Kaanta Laga". It captured media and public attention and she began to known as Kaanta laga girl.

In 2004, Kabhi aar kabhi paar sung by Shamshad Begum was remixed in many versions. Shefali’s version, too became so popular for its hot video and picturation. It is still one of India’s top music videos, alongside Kaanta laga. Shefali was married to singer Harmeet Gulzar. Her divorce in 2009 too captured public attention. Now she is dating Parag Tyagi and together they have participated in Nach baliye Season 5.
