Chum Darang Biography

Chum Darang is a model and entrepreneur from Pasighat, North-east, Arunachal Pradesh. She is a social activist too. She is a youth icon of Arunachal Pradesh and has more than 40k followers on Instagram. She has participated in numerous beauty pageants and has been crowned multiple times too. Miss AAPSU 2010, Miss North-East Diva 2014, Miss Himalaya 2015, Miss Earth India 2016, Miss Asia World 2017 and Miss Tiara India International 2017 are some of the major titles won by her, apart from winning many subtitles and finishing as runner-up. She is also an environmentalist.

Chum Darang was born in East siang district, Arunachal Pradesh in 1991. Pasighat is her hometown. Chum is fluent in Hindi, English and also in many other regional dialects she joined modelling industry in her late teens in year 2010, and went on to establish as a successful model from Arunachal Pradesh in the next decade. She started appearing in beauty pageants in year 2007 during her teens. She was just 16 when she participated in a beauty pageant for the first time. As a model she gained recognition for the first time after winning Miss AAPSU 2010. From there on she actively participated in many beauty contests, and also represented India in international beauty contest events.

She was a finalist at Miss North-East Diva 2014, followed by 2nd runners up at Miss Himalaya 2015, Finalist, Miss Earth India Water in Miss Earth India 2016, 5th Runner Up and Miss Internet at Miss Asia World 2017 and also winner at Miss Tiara India International-2017. Currently she is dating Bitem Dupak. She turned an entrepreneur after she started her own coffee cafe called ' Cafe Chu' at Pasighat.
