Nandita Abraham Biography 
Nandita Abraham is a business women and entrepreneur who currently serves as the CEO of Pearl Academy. She played a major role to put Pearl Academy on the world map in fashion and design education. She has fronted a collaboration with FDCI and a Fashion Lab in Tihar Jail, and is known for several innovative ideas and initiatives. Since childhood, she’s been an insatiable explorer and learner, and she believes that a lady who can take the responsibility of a family can lead a big team too. She is a Malayali.
She completed her studies from NIFT 28 years ago. She was one of the second batch students of this leading fashion institute of the country. Since young, she closely observed changing trends, and believed that fashion industry will witness big reforms in future. She joined NIFT after completing graduation in economics from St. Joseph College, Bangalore. After studies in NIFT, she moved to US to study product development, which proved to be a turning point of her life. She learnt the basic principles of customization of a product as per users’ demand, during her stay in US. While doing her course, she also worked for 1.5 years.
Later she moved to India and joined Aravind Mills. When the company wanted to start a branch in Hong Kong, she was given that responsibility, which she accepted. She got married to a Delhite during this time. She worked in Hong Kong for 5 years with the support of her family and later joined Pearl Academy as faculty. Most of the women from her family are teachers, and her father worked in Unilever company.
After spending 10 years in teaching profession, she moved to marketing field in 2011. Pearl Academy which was once started in a small campus has now branched across the country, and she represents the organization as its CEO. Now more than 5000 students study there.
