Naina Lal Kidwai Biography 
Naina Lal Kidwai is an Indian banker and business executive who serves as the Group General Manager and Country Head of HSBC India. She is a chartered accountant by profession. She is the Former President of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Kidwai is the first Indian lady to graduate from Harvard Business School who graduated in the year 1982. She is also the first woman to guide the functioning of a foreign bank in India. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from University of Delhi and a Bachelor of Arts degree. She has been honoured with Padma Shri award for her contributions in the areas of trade and industry.
From 1977 to 1980, she worked at Price Waterhouse & Co. After graduation from Harvard Business School in 1982, she returned to India and worked in ANZ Grindlays till 1994. She headed Investment Bank, Global NRI Services and Retail Banking sector of Western India. She became the Head of Investment Banking in Morgan Stanley India and JM Morgan Stanley in the year 1994 and held the position till 2002. She also worked at Standard Chartered Bank at the early period of her career.
Naina is married to Rashid Kidwai who runs an NGO named Grassroot Trading Network for Women. The couple has two children. Naina currently serves as a National Advisory Board Member to AIESEC India. Now she serves as the Chairman of HSBC Asset Management (India) Pvt Ltd and HSBC Invest Direct (India) Ltd. Other senior positions held by her at present include - non-executive director on the board of Nestle SA, Chairwoman of City of London's Advisory Council for India and Global Advisor of Harvard Business School.
