Krishnachandran Biography 
Krishnachandran is a singer-actor of Malayalam cinema. He was most active in the era of 1980’s. He is most remembered for his teenager role he played as Pappu in Malayalam erotic movie, Rathinirveetham released in 1978. He was paired opposite Jayabharathi in this movie, who played the role of Rathi in this movie. This landmark movie received cult classic status for redefining the art of film making. Rathi Nirvetham was his debut movie too. He is married to his co-star of 1980’s - Vanitha Krishnachandran and they together have been paired in movies like Vanithapolice, Belt Mathai and Deeparadhana. Most recently they have appeared together as husband and wife in 2013 release – Artist. Apart from the roles of playback singer and actor, he is also known as a dubbing artist of Malayalam movies.
He was born in Nilamboor, Kerala. He was regarded as voice of young generation in 1980’s and he has kept his musical career active throughout 1990’s and 2000’s. Though he came to limelight through his debut movie Rathinirveetham, he preferred singing career rather than acting. He was one of the popular actors of 1980’s alongside Rahman and Vineeth. His entry to film world was just co-incidence. He gave his address to legendary film maker Padmarajan during a radio talk show called Radio Ammaavan. He was only 14 then, studying in the 9th standard. He, along with his friends got opportunity to interview this film maker. Padmarajan contacted him after three years and thus Krishnachandran got his dream debut. The movie is still remembered for its bold scenes and theme which told the story of love between a middle aged woman and teenager. The movie became a trendsetter to many south Indian movies, which inspired many south Indian movies later.
As a dubbing artist, he first dubbed for actor Rahman. He also dubbed for many movies of Vineeth in the 1980’s. He has received Kerala State Film Award for Best Dubbing Artist twice – For kabuliwala in 1993 (Vineeth) and Aniyathipravu (1997) for the debut actor, Kunchacko Boban. He met Vanitha for the first time during the film shooting of Eenadu in 1982 and later they worked as pairs in many movies. In 1986 they got married. As a playback singer, his noted songs are Alliyilam poovo of Mangalam nerunnu and Thenmazhayayi of Daisy. He has sung for more than 1000 movies in Malayalam and has also acted in a few Tamil movies. He was advised by Illaiyaraja to concentrate on either acting or singing and thus he choose music as his real passion.
