Jisshu Sengupta Biography 
Jisshu Sengupta is a popular film actor of Bengali cinema, born as the son of film actor Ujjwal Sengupta. Apart from acting, he is also a cricketer who has played for Bengal in a few matches. He is also a part of celebrity cricket team, Bengal Tigers. He made a cameo appearance in Bollywood hit – Barfi (2012) where he played the role of Ileana D'Cruz’s husband. It was his debut Bollywood movie too. Apart from movies, he also works in Bengali television as a serial actor and star anchor. ‘Aparajito' marked his return to small screen after a short break.
Mardani is his upcoming Bollywood movie, where he plays lead role opposite Rani Mukherji. The movie belonging to Yash raj films’ banner is directed by directed by Pradeep Sarkar. His most recent released Bengali movie Jaatishwar received positive responses from film critics. Abohomaan, Aar Ekti Premer Golpo, Shob Choritro Kalponik, Takhan Teish and Love are his noted works till now.
His real name is Biswaroop Sengupta and he was born in Kolkata in the year 1977. He is the son of film actor Ujjwal Sengupta. He is married to actress Nilanjana Sharma, daughter of Bengali actress of yesterdays - Anjana Bhowmick. He entered film industry in the late 1990’s. Priyojon released in 1999 marked his screen debut. Now he has completed 15 years in the industry and he has worked in both lead and supporting roles. He is a talented actor who has not been getting his due. Yet with patience he has also done supporting roles which brought him critical acclaim.
His most memorable role is Atanu Ghosh’s Takhan Teish in which he played the protagonist - Tamadeep. His supporting roles in critically acclaimed movies like Rituparno Ghosh’s The Last Lear, Shob Choritro Kalponik, Abohomaan and Aar Ekti Premer Golpo have been well-appreciated.
