Ivan Menezes Biography 
Ivan Manuel Menezes, better known as Ivan Menezes is an Indian born business executive who serves as the CEO of DIAGEO, The world’s biggest producer of alcoholic drinks. He was announced as the new chief executive in 2013, after Paul Walsh announced his retirement. Walsh served this position for almost 13 years. A graduate of St Stephen’s College, Delhi, he also holds MBA from Kellogg and IIM-Ahmedabad. He is an American/British business executive right now. He is the non-executive director of the US-based fashion retailer Coach, Inc.
Ivan Menezes is the younger son of Manuel Menezes, a business executive who served as the chairman of the Indian Railway Board. His elder brother Victor Menezes is an engineer and banker, who is the former chairman and CEO of Citibank. Ex-model cum Miss Asia Pacific 1973 title holder - Tara Anne Fonseca is his sister-in-law. Ivan Manuel Menezes was born in Pune in 1959. After his management studies, he worked with corporate sector. He started his professional career with Nestle India.
Menezes joined Diageo in 1997. Chief Operating Officer; Chairman, Latin America & the Caribbean; Chairman, Asia Pacific; President and CEO, Diageo North America; and Chief Operating Officer, Diageo North America are the various senior posts he held till now. He served as the chief operating officer of Diageo since March 2012 and he was appointed as its new chief executive in 2013 when he was 53 years old. Now he belongs to the list of CEOs of Indian origin - Anshu Jain (Deutsche Bank), Indira Nooyi (Pepsi-Co), Ajay Banga (MasterCard) and Rakesh Kapoor (Reckitt Benckiser) who have made a great influence in the global market.
