Bidita Bag is a very successful model and film actress who works in Hindi, Assamese, Bengali and Oriya languages. She made her film debut in 2011 with Bengali movies, Mukti and Icche. In 2012, she made her Bollywood debut through ‘From Sydney with Love’ directed by Prateek Chakravorty. In this movie she played lead role opposite Sharad Malhotra. Karan Sagoo and Evelyn Sharma were also included in the ensemble star cast. She is to star in the Bollywood anthology movie, ‘X‘, directed by 11 directors. She made her Assamese debut through Ekhon Nedekha Nodir Xhipare (2012) and is to debut Oriya film world with the upcoming project, Bhaunri.

She belongs to Howrah, West Bengal. She graduated in Economics from Jadavpur University. She is formally trained in classical music and also owns passion of painting. She started modelling during her college days and now she is a professional model. She was spotted by Jeena Mitra Banik and Prabeer Kumar Dey. Later she came to nationwide attention, after modelling for Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Kiran Uttam Ghosh. So very soon she shifted to Mumbai. She has done ramp walk for Lakme fashion week and endorsed many leading products as well.

Having modeled for many successful brands and campaigns, she made her film debut in 2011. Icche was highly acclaimed Bengali movie. In 2013, two Bengali movies got released - Target Kolkata and Kagojer Nouka. She received positive reviews for her work in ‘From Sydney with Love’. After her successful debut in Bollywood, this Bong beauty is being compared to established heroines namely Kangna Ranaut and Deepika Padukone. She is getting numerous film offers also.
