Anupama Verma is a super model turned actress who gained instant popularity through the sizzling video of Bheegi bheegi raatom mein, remixed by Leslie Lewis. 'Boom Boom' by Biddu sung by a Pakistani singer Nazia Hassan and Bali Brahmabhatt’s 'Tere Bin Jeena Nahin' are other noted music videos. After the Boom boom video, she came to be known as Boom girl. She endorsed various products like L'oreal, Monte Carlo, Cintrol, Pantene, Fair & Lovely, Ponds, Braun and Lipton and has acted in Bollywood movies like ‘Grahan’, 'Vadh', 'Pitaah', 'Asambhav', 'Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai', 'Chameli', 'Mohabbat Ho Gayi Hai Tumse', 'Padmashree Laloo Prasad Yadav' and 'Woodstock Villa'. Grahan was her debut movie. She has also participated in Bigg Boss season 1.

Her father is a fighter pilot and since childhood she travelled in different parts of India. Her father retired as the Deputy Chief of IAF. She holds Masters in Business Economics degree in Marketing and Finance from University of Delhi. Verma was discovered by celebrity photographer Shantanu Sheorey when she was 14. Her first modeling assignment was with Shekhar Kapur for Digjam suiting. Very soon due to her photogenic face and talent, she became a super model and appeared as the cover girl of many leading fashion magazines. She also worked as a VJ for channel V and was very popular during 1990’s. In 1997, she debut big screen with Grahan, opposite Jackie Shroff. But the movie was a flop at box office.

Later she appeared in several movies in supporting roles and in most movies, she was placed as a glamour doll. But her filmy career was not as successful as modelling. She is also an ambassador for various anti-smoking campaigns and has been associated with PETA campaigns.
