Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park has three divisions, a zoo, a snake park and an animal orphanage. The animals are kept inside the traditional cages. Katraj Snake Park was established in 1986. Some of the animals in the zoo are leopard, sloth bear, barking deer, peafowl, monkeys, elephants and sambar deer and some of the reptiles are cobra, snake, viper and crocodiles. This zoo was established in 1999 and in 2005 the animals from Peshwe Park were moved to it.
