Pune Climate in Summer Season
The summer season in Pune lasts from March to May and the maximum climate at this time is 38 degree Celsius. April is the hottest month. The highest ever recorded in Pune is 43.3 degree Celsius on 30th April 1897. Though summer is hot, the nights are comparatively cooler owing to its high altitude. Sometimes rainfall also occurs with heavy thunderstorms and the humidity is at its maximum level. There is a total sunshine of 2895 hours.
Pune Climate in Winter Season
The winter season in Pune starts in December and lasts till February. January is the coolest month of the year with an average daily minimum temperature of 11 degree Celsius and average daily maximum temperature of 29 degree Celsius. The temperature usually varies between 12 and 36 degree Celsius at this time.
Pune Climate in Monsoon Season
The monsoon season starts in June and ends in September. As Pune is situated on the leeward side of the Western Ghats, it get good amount of rainfall for three months. At this time, the temperature is humid and ranges between 18 degree Celsius and 30 degree Celsius. The average annual rainfall of Pune is 741 mm and it receives rainfall for 68 days on an average per year.
