Stone House was a bungalow, the first of its kind built by John Sullivan. Sullivan is considered as the founder of Ooty. The Stone House was called Kal Bangala by the native people. The official residence of the Principal of the Government Art College at Ooty is located here. The building of this bungalow started in 1822 and is one of the ancient buildings in Ooty.
