Where to Eat in Kochi

There are many cheap restaurants located all over the city. As it is a coastal city, fresh seafood is available in them. Fresh water fish, prawns, squids and shrimps are cooked in many varieties and are served here. Meen Molagitta Curry and Kurukku Kalan and Palada are famous food items here. Fish molly, Alleppey fish curry, fish peera and Varatharacha kozhi curry are other varieties. The steamed tapioca and rice are popular among the vegetarian people here. Apart from restaurants there are many streetside food hawkers selling the fresh cooked delicious foods. The city also has a good chain of fast food shops.
