Bolgatty Island is one of the important tourist spots of Kochi and is located between the Ernakulam mainland and Willingdon Island. The boat ride to reach the island is available. It is located at a distance of just 2 kilometers into the sea.

An ancient palace is located here which was built by a Dutch trader in 1744. In 1909, it was taken on lease by the British. It is maintained by the Kerala Tourism Development Corporation. There are many heritage hotels here and is indeed a perfect place to enjoy your times away from the hustle and bustle of the city life.
