Moti Jheel is a lake with adjoining gardens and is used as the drinking water reservoir in Benajhabar area. Moti means Pearl and Jheel means lake. There is a children’s park adjacent to this and it serves as the important recreational place of Kanpur. The lake was constructed during the time of British for serving the needs of drinking water and later with the establishment of park and garden, it turned out to be one of the picnic spots of Kanpur.
