Massacre Ghat is one of the famous ghats of Kanpur and is also known as Satti Chaura Ghat. It is located near Jajmau on the banks of River Ganges. These ghats have important place in the religious life of the people here. It also served as the maritime boarding point for people going through the river route from Kanpur to Allahabad.

The ghat got traditional historical importance after the First War of Indian Independence that took place in 1857. About 300 British people were slaughtered near this ghat that gave it the name of Massacre Ghat. As this rebellion was believed to be led by the Peshwas, it is also known as Nana Rao Ghat. There is a small white temple standing near it at present and the ghat stands as a mute witness of those sad days of the history.
