Bada Ganpati was built during the period of Ahilya Bai Holkar in 1875. This is the largest Ganapati statue in the world measuring about eight meters in height from crown to foot. It is made of bricks, mud, jiggery and limestone and the frame is made of precious stones. This idol has been given great respect by the devotees as he is considered to remove all the obstacles in the life.
