Erode Periya Mariamman Temple is one of the oldest temples in Erode and believed to be formed during the period of Kongu Cholas 1200 years before. It is situated opposite Erode Corporation Building. It was renovated in 1969.

Mariamman festival is celebrated every year during the months March-April. People of all parts of Erode and nearby locations visit the temple during this time.
