Erode climate is dry and hot as it lies in the rain shadow region of the Western Ghats. By the time the cool wind reaches Erode, it turns hot and dry. The lowest temperature is 18 degree Celsius during December and January and the highest temperature is 35 degree Celsius during the hottest months of April and May.

The weather in Erode gets pleasant when it receives the showers in June, July and August. It gets its rainfall from the south west monsoon winds in June, July and August and from the north east monsoon winds in October and November.
