G. D. Naidu was an Indian inventor born on 23rd March 1893 in Kalangal near Coimbatore. He was interested in inventing new things and so was referred to as the Edison of India. He has invented an electric razor, fruit juice extractor, five valve radio sets and two seater petrol car and many more items. Most of his inventions are placed in this museum such as the first electric motor in India, type writers, printers, mechanical calculator, first phase television projector, tabletop computer, two seater car and many more items. The museum also displays the medals and awards that he had obtained in his lifetime.
