Yuvarani Biography

Yuvarani is a Tamil film actress who also works in television serials. Among her film roles, most noted one is Rajnikanth’s sister in 1993 film – Baasha. Among her noted television roles, character roles of Prabhavathy in Chithi and Sundari in Thendral made her a popular actress on small screen. Made her acting debut in the early 1990s, she has completed 25 years in silver screen. Varusa Naadu, Kalai Vendhan and Iravum Pagalum Varum are among her recent Tamil releases. She is to play Suriya’s sister in the third sequel of Singam.

Yuvarani’s name was also mentioned in the infamous Nityananda sex scandal in 2010. But the actress denied the allegations, though admitted that she has visited Swami with her two children. A sex video featuring Yuvarani and Nityananda also surfaced during that time and Yuvarani filed a petition with the Chennai police commissioner requesting the video to be removed from net.

She made her television debut with 1999 series – Chithi, which gained her quick attention. Then she played varying roles on mini screen and has been quite active in television serials for 15 years or so. Mannan Magal, Uravugal Sangamam, Mamiyar Thevai, Thendral, Kalyanam, Senthurapoove, Suryavamsam, Agni pravesham and Chithi are her popular television roles.

She was born in Tamil Nadu on November 30, 1974. She made her film debut in the early 1990s. Azhagan in 1991 is her first credited role. Mammootty, Bhanupriya, Geetha, Babloo Prithviraj and Madhoo were the lead actors of the film. Madhoo and Yuvarani marked their film debut through this film. Since then she portrayed numerous character roles onscreen. Yuvarani has remained in limelight following her defamation suits she has filed several times against many producers and publications.
