Vivaan Shah Biography

Vivaan Shah is a young Bollywood actor, better known as the son of great actors, Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah. He made his Bollywood debut with 2011 Vishal Bhardwaj movie - 7 Khoon Maaf and has signed a 3-film deal too. He has bagged an important role in upcoming flick of Farah Khan – Happy New Year that’s scheduled to release in November 2014. The movie stars Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan and Boman Irani in pivot role. Vivaan plays the role of a computer hacker and also narrates the movie. He was also the narrator of his debut flick – 7 Khoon Maaf. His elder brother Imaad Shah has already entered Bollywood as a successful actor and music director. Veteran actress Dina Pathak is his maternal grandmother.

Vivaan Shah was born as the younger son of actors Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah. He made his Bollywood debut with 2011 Vishal Bhardwaj movie - 7 Khoon Maaf where he played the pivot role of Arun in the movie. His father also appeared as the sixth husband (Bengali doctor) of Susan, the lead character played by Priyanka Chopra. Vivaan played the role of young forensic pathologist who narrates the whole story to his wife and hence he was a central character of the movie.

Bombay Velvet and Happy New year are the upcoming releases of this 23-year old actor and in both these movies, he plays supporting roles. Vivaan plays the third lead and narrator in Happy New year. It’s a dream role for Vivaan since he was chosen from more than 100 applicants who auditioned for the role.
