Vishnu Vishal Biography

Vishnu Vishal is a popular young actor and youth sensation of Tamil cinema. Started his film career with sports film Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu in 2009, he shot to fame playing the lead role in 2012 movie – Neerparavai where he portrayed the title role of a young fisherman. Since then he has acted in movies – Mundasupatti, Jeeva and Indru Netru Naalai and a handful of movies are waiting for release in 2016 - Idam Porul Yaeval, Veera, Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran, Kalukkuray Maaplay, Veera Dheera Sooran and Poda! Andavane En Pakkam.

He was born in Vellore in 1984 to a police officer, Ramesh Kudawla. His real name is Vishal Kudawla. He has one sister. He was interested in sports and cinema since childhood. His schooling was completed at Tiruchirappalli and later he completed Master’s in Business administration from SRM University. He was a cricketer during his college days and wanted to pursue a career in this field. However following a leg injury, he got bedridden for a short period and got interested in movies while watching them at rest. His uncle who has done bit roles in movies supported him, and he was also encouraged by his mother to pursue a career in films. Thus he changed his name to Vishnu.

He got his first offer for Suseenthiran's directorial debut Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu and he did a lot of preparations for the role. He sat under the sun for hours to tan his body and look like a player. He also learnt Kabaddi. He won Edison Awards for Best Debut Actor and also a nomination at Edison Awards for Best Debut Actor. He was paired with Saranya Mohan for the movie. Bale Pandiya, Drohi, Kullanari Koottam and Neerparavai were his movies later. With the movie Neerparavai, he delivered the best performance till date and received a nomination at SIIMA awards for best actor. He married his college friend Rajini Natraj in 2011, whose father is a close friend of Rajinikanth.
