Vinay Anand Biography

Vinay Anand is a star actor associated with Bhojpuri cinema. He has also appeared in a few Bollywood films. Anand is known to Bollywood film industry as the nephew of star actor Govinda and grandson of the star couple of 1940s - Arun Kumar Ahuja and Nirmala Devi. Vinay is married to Jyoti Anand, sister of south Indian star actress Simran. Dil Ne Phir Yaad Kiya, Sautela, Jahan Jaaeyega Hamen Paaeyega, Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiyaa etc are some of his Bollywood films. Krishna Abhishek, Ragini Khanna, Aarti Singh, Soumya Seth, Narmada Ahuja, Aryan Singh, Arjun Singh, Amit Khanna and Tina Ahuja – all related to the entertainment world are his cousins.

He was born in 1978 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. His father Ravi Anand is a lyricist. His mother Pushpa is the elder sister of Govinda, daughter of Arun Kumar Ahuja and Nirmala Devi. Thus Vinay is related to Ahuja family. He made his film debut in the year 1999 through Bollywood films. Lo Main Aa Gaya was his debut film, though Sautela released one week earlier. Both the movies were released in the month of January. He played parallel lead opposite Priyanka Upendra in Sautela, Hindi remake of Tamil hit - Cheran Pandiyan.

Later he appeared in many Bollywood films, mostly in parallel lead and supporting roles though he couldn’t get much recognition. He moved to Bhojpuri films, which made him a successful actor. Regarded as a super star of Bhojpuri screen, Damad is his most successful film. He also hosted a reality show, Grahlaxmi in Mahuva Channel. He has now launched production house, Flying Horses and is planning to release his debut pop album. Maai Ke Karz was his latest release.
