Vikas Bhalla Biography

Vikas Bhalla is a popular Hindi actor and pop singer, who is well known for his role in the TV serials, Shanno Ki Shaadi and Tum bin jaon kahan. Among his pop albums, he is most known her the remixed version of Aise na mujhe tum dekho, seene se lagaoonga of the movie Darling darling, sung by one and only Kishore Kumar. He appeared in its sizzling video as well. After that he was seen in a few successful television serials as well.

Vikas Bhalla was born on October 24, 1978 in Mumbai. He studied at Bombay Scottish School and after that he did his B.Com from Narsee Monjee College, Mumbai. He is a trained Hindustani singer also. He studied under Pandit Jialal Vasant when he was 12 and later under Guru Iqbal Gill. Vikas made his acting debut in the film Sauda (1995). He played the lead opposite Neelam Kothari. Then he did television serial with superstar Rajesh Khanna and that successful serial was Apne paraye. He was also succefsully paired with Divya Dutta in Shanno ki shaadi. He has also appeared in television serials like Jassi jaisa koi nahin, Meet, Karishma – The miracles of destiny, Uttaran and Sanjog Se Bani Sangini on Zee TV. In 2011, he participated in a celebrity singing reality show called Star Ya Rockstar on Zee TV. Now he is working in Utharan, the popular serial of Colors Television.

Though he was successful in as serial actor, his real desire was to become a successful singer. He released private albums - Awaara, Dhuan, and Mehak Teri. As a playback singer his debut tracks was a hit. It was the recently released ‘Po Po’ from the movie Son of Sardar.

In 90’s, Vikas Bhalla has played leading role in movies like Dil ke jaroke mein (1996) opposite Manisha Koirala, Taaqat (1995) opposite Kajol and Ek phool teen kaante opposite Monica Bedi. He has also worked in supporting roles in the movies – Saazish (1998), Pyaar Mein Twist (2005), Deewana Hoon Pagal Nahi (1998), Ankahee (2006), Chooriyan (2007), Shikar (2000) and Chance Pe Dance (2010). He is married to Punita, daughter of actor of yesterdays, Prem Chopra.
