Vidhya Mohan Biography

Vidhya Mohan is a south Indian actress who appears in Tamil and Malayalam movies, alongside TV serials of both these languages. She is married to popular Malayalam actor Vinu Mohan. She was initially credited as Shivani Sri in films. She started her film journey with 2007 Tamil movie, Dhandayuthapani in a lead role opposite S. Suresh Raja. She received rave reviews for her acting debut. Parayan Marannathu in 2009 was her first Malayalam movie. After that she appeared in around 20 films belonging to Malayalam and Tamil languages.

She was born in Kottayam, Kerala on 12 April 1987. She made an impressive debut with in films with Dhandayuthapani in a lead role. The movie was directed by Arun. S. Bhaskar. She was credited as Shivani Sri in her debut flick. Two years later she debuted in Malayalam films with Parayan Marannathu, in a supporting role. Some of her Malayalam films are Neelambari, Cheriya Kallanum Valiya Policum, Maharaja Talkies, Swapnamalika, Bellariraja, Ee Thirakkinidayil, MLA Mani: Patham Classum Gusthiyum, Red Alert, Yathrakkoduvil, Kaalchilambu and Oru Pakka Nadan Premakadha.

She started off with lead roles and later did a series of supporting roles in both Malayalam and Tamil and a very few in other south Indian languages, and most of her roles went unnoticed. Her Tamil movies are Dhandayuthapan, Aaravadhu Vanam, Karuvarai, Akilan, Kaadhal Paadhai, Ner Ethir etc. Priya and Samagama are her movies in Kannada. She joined television in year 2013 with the show, Valli, where she played a dual role. Ente Pennu was her first show in Malayalam, followed by Unnimaya in 2019.
