Vicky Varun is a film actor who works in Kannada cinema. His name is also credited as Vikky Varun. His real name is Santhosh Reva, and he hails from Mysore, Karnataka. The actor has worked as lead actor in films, and also had a short stint as an assistant director in the industry. His debut in films happened in 2013 with a cameo appearance in Kaddipudi, while he was working as an assistant in the industry. In 2015, he bagged his next film, but this time a full-fledged role as lead actor. Kendasampige marked his film debut, which bagged him nominations at SIIMA and Filmfare awards for best male actor debut.

Vicky Varun was born as Santhosh Reva on 2 June 1990 in Mysore, Karnataka. He was born into the family of farmers from Chamarajanagar district. After completing his graduation, he decided to pursue a career in films, and worked under film directors Yogaraj Bhat and Duniya Soori as an associate and later assistant director in their films. Duniya Soori gave him a small uncredited role in one of his flicks, Kaddipudi in 2013. Quite surprisingly when he announced his 2015 project, Kendasampige Vicky was roped in to play the male lead. Santhosh has assisted Suri in his previous directorial ventures such as Anna Bond and Kaddipudi.

The movie had 100 days of theatric run and was declared a super hit. Vicky earned accolades for his debut role as Ravindra, and impressive performance helped him to bag yet another lead role for 2017 Kannada flick, College Kumar. He did College Kumar, after taking a one-year break from the industry. He was just waiting for the right role to come in.
