Udaya Bhanu Biography

Udaya Bhanu is a film actress and television anchor of Telugu language. She started her career as an anchor in Telugu television at the age of 15 and very soon became one of the most successful anchors of Telugu television. Now she is the highest paid personality of Telugu television industry and currently hosts six shows on six channels. Thus she is a busy personality of Telugu television industry at present. She has also acted in Telugu movies like Erra Sainyam, Vetagadu, Khaidi Brothers, Police no 1, Kondaveeti Simhasanam, BasthiMeySawaal and Shravana Maasam. She has also done special appearance in item songs in a few movies like Aapada Mokkula Vadu, Julayi and Leader. Aliya Alla Magala Ganda is her single Kannada movie released in 1997.

 
Udaya Bhanu was born in Sultanabad of Andhra Pradesh. Both her parents are physicians. Her brother is a software engineer. Her father was a poet too, and died when Udaya was only 4. Her schooling was done at Vikarabad and later took post graduation in literature. She started acting at 15 years of age with Horlicks Hrudayanjali, followed by Once More Please, Saahasam Cheyara Dimbhakaa, Jaanavule Nerajaanavule, Nee Illu Bangaram Kaanu, Dhee, Rela Re Rela and a few more television programs. She is a successful program host also who anchors many events.

 
She made her acting debut in R. Narayana Murthy's Erra Sainyam in 1990 when she was 15. She was a school student then. Later she appeared in Kondaveeti Simhasanam (2002), Khaidi Brothers (2002) and Shravana Maasam (2005). Her single Tamil movie was unreleased. She was forcibly married to a Muslim named Mohammed Fasiullah Khan in 1999. Later she got a divorce and remarried her longtime friend Vijay Kumar at an Arya Samaj Temple in 2004. She claimed that her mother and relatives abused and tortured her and even tried to convert her to Islam.
