Tarana Raja is a well-established television host, model and actress who appears in movies as well. She is a former radio jockey too. She has been one of the top television hosts of Doordarshan since late 1990’s and has hosted musical programs like Chitrahaar and Rangoli and many more film-based and musical shows. She is a trained dancer too. Currently she plays the role of Neha Shergil in the top rated series on Sony television – Bade Ache lagte hain. Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Karthik Calling Karthik, Jodi breakers and Pyaar Ke Side Effects are her noted Bollywood appearances where she played character roles. She has also hosted many star events and award nights.

Tarana Raja was born on 24 January 1977 in Delhi to Madhu Raja and Rabindranath Raja. Her schooling was completed in Mumbai. She graduated in Commerce from Sydenham College and also took Master’s from Mumbai University. She is a trained Kathak dancer who learnt this art form for 12 years and a performer and she currently works as faculty at Shiamak Davar’s dancing school. She has also worked as a performer in the same school for about 10 years.

She has been a former model who appeared in many television ads and a popular face on television in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s. She has been an energetic television host and radio jockey. As an RJ, Good morning Mumbai is her popular show. Now she is concentrated more on television series. Vishakha in Kasauti Zindagi Kay, Pooja in Kuchh Is Tarah to Kkusum and Neha in Bade Acche Lagte Hain are her noted appearances for Ekta Kapoor's Balaji telefilms.
