Tanya Hope Biography

Tanya Hope is a south Indian film actress who appears in all south Indian language films except Malayalam. She is a very successful model too, who was a finalist of Femina Miss India 2015. The following year she marked her film debut through Telugu film Appatlo Okadundevadu in a lead role opposite Sree Vishnu and Nara Rohit and the film was a box office hit. Later she worked in a few Tamil and Kannada movies. In 2019 she played the female lead Deepika, Ezhil's love interest in the Tamil psychological thriller Thadam and the film received overwhelming response from public.

Tanya Hope hails from Bangalore, Karnataka and was born into a business family. After completing schooling from her hometown, for higher studies she moved to England. After returning to India, as she was serious about modelling career, she took training at Tiara Training Studios, Pune. As a model she earned her first success through the beauty pageant FBB Femina Miss India Kolkata, where she emerged as winner. It gave her direct entry to Femina Miss India 2015, where she finished as a finalist.

The following year she marked her film debut through Appatlo Okadundevadu. After the success of the movie, she took acting career seriously and worked in around 10 movies belonging to three south Indian languages. She was also seen in a brief role in Nenu Sailaja. In 2019 she signed three Kannada films in a row – Amar, Home Minister and Khaki. Thadam, Yajamana and Udgarsha (bilingual) are her Tamil releases. A model-turned actress, she played one among the three heroines of her recent release, Thadam. Dance, Sketching, music and movies are her favourites.
