Tahir Raj Bhasin is a model and promising young actor of Bollywood who played male antagonist in Rani Mukherji’sMardaani which earned him rave reviews. The movie released in 2014 is one of the biggest hits of the year. Earlier he appeared in Bollywood disaster of 2014 - One by Two. In 2013, he acted in Bollywood hit - Kai Po Che!

Tahir was born on April 21, 1987 in Delhi. His father is a Punjabi and his mother is a Kashmiri-Maharashtrian. He has one sibling. Many of his family members served in Indian Defence Force and both his grandfather and father have served as Fighter Pilots in the Indian Air Force. For the same reason his childhood was spent in several places – from north to south India. Tahir studied acting at Imago, the Barry John Acting School New Delhi during his teens. Tahir is good in academics. He holds a Master’s degree in media from the University of Melbourne, Australia. Once returned to India, he worked with a national news production companyas a news journalist before joining entertainment field.

Tahir has also trained from Institute of Advanced Acting and Behavioural Studies and has participated in many theatre workshops. He also learnt contemporary Bollywood jazz dance and mixed martial art, before he reached Bollywood. He also appeared in many Indian and international short films, apart from many television commercial ads. Though he played bit roles in Bollywood movies like Kismet Love Paisa Dilli and One By Two , it was commercial hit Mardani through which he rose to fame. He was spotted by YRF casting director Shanoo Sharma at stylist NiharikaBhasin’s house. He played the antagonist associated with drugs mafia and child trafficking in this movie and his role as a young villain received rave reviews.
