Dr. Swathy Narayanan is an upcoming actress associated with Mollywood who made her film debut in the year 2015. Swathy is an Ayurveda doctor and trained Kuchupudi dancer who forayed to films. She got the big break to films through 2015 super hit and highly acclaimed film, 'Su Su Sudhi Vathmeekam'  where she played one among the two lead actresses opposite Jayasurya. She played Jayasurya’s fiancée character with the name Sheela, who dumps him due to his stammering problems. Swathy had earlier appeared on silver screen in the late 1990s, playing the childhood role of actress Kaveri in the popular film, “Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njanum” in a song sequence.

This pretty young girl with traditional Malayali looks belongs to Perumbavoor, Ernakulam. She was born on 13-Dec-1990. She is a trained classical dancer who has great passion to Kuchipudi. She started learning this dance form at the age of 4.  She is a senior most student of Guru Anupama Mohan, one of the top teachers of this dance form. She has trained under her Guru for long 16 years! Currently she is doing her higher studies in Kuchipudi from Guru Chintha Ravi balakrishna, at Kuchipudi Village, Vijayawada. She completed her BAMS degree from the University of Calicut and is a qualified doctor who works as an Ayurvedic hospital in her hometown.

“Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njanum” is her first film, where she was seen in a song sequence as a child artist. 'Su Su Sudhi Vathmeekam' is her first film in adult role. Her name was suggested to the filmmaker Ranjith Sankar by Asha Sarath of Dhrishyam fame. Casted opposite Jayasurya, Sshivada also played a pivot role in the film. The movie was highly praised by critics for its acting performances and screenplay and welcomed by audience alike. The film was originally announced in year 2000, about 15 years ago.
